My name is Cordelia. 

What are my interests and/or hobbies?
I love to read. I have a dream of writing a book of my own. I think a big reason for that is my love for Harry Potter. If I ever do write a book and get it published, it could never be as good as the amazing story of the one and only Harry Potter. I also do some drawing

I am a Ravenclaw. 💙💙💙💙💙💙 

Who is my favorite Harry Potter character?
My mom, Laura, says your favorite should be Harry. Well, my favorite character is LUNA LOVEGOOD or Hermione Granger. But, I talk more about Luna Lovegood. She is amazing and in the same house as me! So, how could I not?

Which Harry Potter character do I think I am like?
I think I am a combination of Hermione and Luna Lovegood. But, Buzzfeed says I'm Ginny. I don't know!

How many copies of Harry Potter do I own?
Between my mom and me, we own 3 copies of the whole series. 

How do I know Laura, the co-author of this blog?
First off, I want to get through that I AM the owner of this blog. I invited HER! Laura is my mom and a good one. 

Do I have any pets?
I have an amazing Shetland Sheepdog named Molly and a sweet bunny named Daisy.

What do I like to do in the outdoors?
I like to go camping and for nice walks with my dog and parents. One of my favorite places to go camping is the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. I like to ride my bike and go hiking too. I love the outdoors. 

What books do I like?
I like many books. I don't think I can list them all. I love Harry Potter, Obviously. I also like: The Princess Diaries, Keeper of the Lost Cities, Fairy Tale Reform School, Royal Academy Rebels, The Hunger Games and Percy Jackson. 

What TV Shows do I like?
I really like the TV Show Friends and also the show New Girl.

When Hagrid told Harry he was a wizard, it was just like he was saying to me, "Yer a witch, Cordelia." I lived with Harry. Sometimes, I feel like I am part of Harry's story. The British versions

If you’ve only read the versions of J.K. Rowling’s series that were released in the United States, then you might not realize that they’re a little different than the Harry Potter books originally released in the United Kingdom. Since I’ve read and studied both British and American literature, I’ve long had an appreciation for those little differences between the two “languages.”   There are some common differences in spelling, and even punctuation, between British English and American English.   I’ve always enjoyed making these comparisons, so I was very excited when my mother-in-law visited England and began purchasing the British versions for me to read.   I was also happy to share them with my daughter when we first opened Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone .   I think I’ve read that the first book’s title was changed to its American title, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone , so that it would sound more “magical” to American readers.  ...

The Time Turner

If I could go back and view myself reading (and rereading) Harry Potter, what would I see?   I can’t even be sure how many times I’ve read Rowling’s books. A lot. When I first heard of Harry Potter, the first book had just arrived in America, and everyone was talking about him. I was in my twenties, and I remember thinking, I’m an adult.   Even though I was sure people probably knew what they were talking about, I didn’t think I needed to rush right out and read this children’s book. I think I started reading when the second book came out in America, and of course, I was hooked.   I knew immediately that anyone, any age, could enjoy Harry’s story, not just for the magic of Hogwarts and the wizarding world, but for the love and friendship, the battle of good versus evil, and the coming-of-age experiences that everyone could live through right along with Harry.   I could see myself in Harry, Ron, and Hermione.   It didn’t matter that I was an adult....
